To Get Happiness:
#1 Connect with a Higher Power.
When it comes to talking about the Law of Attraction, many people with religious beliefs choose to avoid it. This isn’t because they do or do not believe in it, but because they don’t completely understand it. There is no proof of it in my religious texts, they say. If you think about it, however, there are more than a few suggestions in our faith precepts that suggest there is a Law of Attraction.
I am a Christian, and The Law of Attraction scared me because presenters can or sometimes preach it with funky spiritual language that sounds spooky and evil. But when I got past the sound effects I found Biblical truths and solid spiritual laws embedded in these concepts.
I talk to God. You talk to the Universe. I hope you see God in this Universe. I think I have. I ask God for my daily bread, and sometimes a Mercedes-Benz. I’m sure you do too. That’s called relationship.
I want to have a relationship with the Universe, or the being that is running it. How ’bout you?
Thank you for letting me share with you the good I see in the Law of Attraction.
The Law of Attraction with Religious Devotion
Just because the Law of Attraction is worldly, doesn’t mean it is ungodly.
The basics of the Law of Attraction is you get what you give. Christians, and Jews, and Buddhists have this same belief, only in the form of reaping and sowing, karma, and cause and effect.
Law of Attraction is just a spiritual law, you focus your spirit on doing good, and receiving good. Talking to “The Universe” is much like prayer and often times considered prayer. You are asking God, or the Universe to provide for you, to give back what you have given in.
When you look at the Law of Attraction and Religious Devotion side by side, the two share a lot in common.
God and Laws Do Not Take Sides
God has provided you with a set of rules or commandments. These rules are to ensure that you put good into the world. To treat others how you want to be treated, treat your neighbors with kindness, don’t hurt people, honor your family, always be kind, be more like him and benefit from it. The Law of Attraction is the same.
Put positive vibrations, prayers, mantras, and good thoughts in to the world and benefit from it. And don’t forget to use your body and resources, as well. Isn’t this what our beliefs tell us to do?
One Source, One Tool
If you are a religious person and you want to know more about the Law of Attraction, there is one thing that you need to remember:
There is only one source and that is your God.
All the positive energy you are receiving from the Law of Attraction is coming from your God.
The Law of Attraction is just a tool. It is a tool to help you achieve your desires and outcomes.Your God created the Law of Attraction for you to use. These two run hand in hand.
What it comes down to is your personal belief system and what you want to think. In the end, the decision is yours.
Is it God providing for you, or is it the Universe?
Either way, you get blessed when you speak up and address that higher power.

Defusing the Religious Argument:
God or higher power is mentioned in 6 of the 12 steps. These terms are used interchangeably. The idea of a higher power is the key element of the program, as seen in the following steps:
* Step 2 – We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
* Step 3- We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
* Step 5- We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
* Step 6-_We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character._
* Step 7- We humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
* Step 11 – We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
